Peter's painting practice is modernist and has a dialogical momentum of its own internal volition. Reality is reconstructed. Narratives are implied and symbols made cryptic. Beneath the surface of appearances, however, there is a a distinct and formal language, which invests the ordinary with a sense of mystery.
