Kentbrook 2

On Aldeburgh beach a ship is being broken up and I am reminded of the wreck of the SS Kentbrook in 1954, when as a 13 year old boy I watched my grandfather and others rescue the crew by breeches buoy.  Suddenly the head-shaped gap is occupied by a sunlit fishing boat.  The figure, groynes, birds and clouds create a peripheral movement which contains the image of rebirth.
